Choral Fantasia, a link between Beethoven’s noble music and his paintings

I was thinking recently about connecting painting and music, about feelings and matière on the screen, and this morning I found this. Choral Fantasia by Beethoven

It’s one of Beethoven’s lesser-performed works, I’m told, but I had to look it up because it conjured up such vivid images of nobility, light and heavenly colours. This song is exactly what the lyrics say.

We can only truly portray what we’ve experienced. Only what one has experienced can truly be portrayed. It’s not like heaven, you can’t paint heaven unless you experience it. . I think this song made me experience that. One day.

Choral Fantasy in C minor
(German: Fantasie für Klavier, Chor und Orchester c-Moll), Op. 80, is a choral work with solo piano and orchestra, composed by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1808. It was dedicated to King Maximilian I of Bavaria. Because it requires a solo piano, six soloists and a four-part chorus in addition to the orchestra, it is performed much less frequently than other Beethoven pieces.

It’s a celebration of the arts.
The concept is to rejoice.
It is said that this work is connected with the Ninth.
The lyricist seems to be Kufner.
But we don’t know for sure.

最近、絵画と音楽をつなぎ、感情と画面上のマチエールについて考えていたら、今朝、これをみつけました。ベートーベンの曲の中であまり演奏される機会のない作品だそうですが、

高貴で光りに満ちた、天国的なイメージや色彩が鮮やかに浮かんできたので調べました。この歌詞の通りの楽曲。

真に描くことができない。

天国のようなものではなく、天国を体験しなければ天国が描けない。。この曲はそれを体験させてくれたと思います。いつか、

合唱幻想曲ハ短調

独：Fantasie für Klavier, Chor und Orchester c-Moll）作品80は、ルートヴィヒ・ヴァン・ベートーヴェンが1808年に作曲した、独奏ピアノと管弦楽を含む合唱曲。バイエルン国王マクシミリアン1世に献呈されている。管弦楽に加えてピアノ独奏・独唱者6人・4部合唱が必要であるということもあり、他のベートーヴェンの楽曲に比べて演奏される機会は非常に少ない。
